flu vaccine

there has been a wrong information circulating that the public only needs the H1N1 vaccine. But the 2010 vaccine content has 1 H1N1 strain and 2 seasonal flu. one should be very keen and observant about this kind of Ads.

If only...

This was one of the darkest day of my life my lolo died of pneumonia, my biggest regret-I wasn't able to vaccinate him with vaxigrip and pneumo23. I am a licensed nurse and working in the field of healthcare, I have easy access of acquiring the vaccine yet.... I have that in mind last year pa that I'll vaccine the elderly at home but none of them was vaccinated, I don't know if it was because of my busy schedule that I tend to forgot or maybe I didn't realized it's importance not until lolo died. Guilt still wraps my heart though my lolo was buried 2 weeks ago. The severity of my lolo's sickness could have been lessened if he was vaccinated or he could have stayed more longer for he still wished to live, he feels that he's not yet finish in this life. But lets face it...it's over. My wish to everyone is to see the importance of vaccination, I hope we won't wait for some sickness to occur for us to realize its importance. Let's act NOW...

Wanted NGO for FREE Flu Vaccination

In our aim to give full service to our constituents, we are asking for some assistance to some non-government organization to help us give a Free Flu Vaccination in our barangay. It is really a big favor to ask but in behalf of our young and senior constituents whom we aim to give our full service and for the promotion of good healthy lifestyle we are willing to ask anyone for all the help we can get. Maybe this is also the best chance to educate them about the health benefit of being aware. for more info of our projects in our barangay check out our website at: http://bgy15caloocan.weebly.com

Flu could be severe and deadly

I thought before that flu is just the same as the simple cough and colds. I was wrong. I read from a medical magazine that flu can actually kill especially during flu pandemics.During the early 1900's millions of people die because of flu pandemic, when the flu vaccine was not available yet. Now that a vaccine is available, I always make it a point to have my flu shot yearly. Even without the pandemic, it is very much worthy to avoid flu because you will be free from very uncomfortable feeling which could last for days and even give you complication. Because of this, my whole family go to our doctor yearly to have the flu shot. So far, for the past 5 years that I have been receiving the flu vaccine, I never had a bout of flu!

Free or Not, Its cost effective

Your lucky, if you will get free flu vaccines, maybe some NGO's our LGU's will provide it for free specially for the elderly, But consider this, the amount you will spent for the flu vaccine is lesser than the expenses you will incurred for medication and hospitalization once you get the FLU. PLUS your loss income if your working already. he he he or your child missing important things in the school while recovering from FLU. Just like me, I had the flu shot na early this year.

My Flu Vaccine Experience

My family had our flu vaccine yesterday. Although we got the shots for free, I was informed by my son's pedia that it would normally cost around 1,200 to 2,500 per shot. The shot was not painful but I still experience some tenderness and slight pain on the spot. Read more about my flu vaccine experience on my blog.
